Giclée Prints

What is a giclée? (pronounced “jhee-clay”)?
Gicleé is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how an inkjet printer works and how giclée prints are usually produced. The inkjet printer literally blends the colored inks as it prints to produce seamless, highly detailed prints of stunning color and detail. They are produced from a high-resolution image of the original art (either directly scanned or photographed). These large format inkjet printers use small spraying devices that can both match color and apply ink precisely, giving artists a high-quality print of their original art. The inks used are pigment-based and archival and they are printed on high quality archival, acid-free, substrates (canvas, watercolor paper, or printmaking paper) A giclee should not fade for a minimum of eighty years!
My Giclée prints are limited editions, signed and numbered, and printed on 100% cotton rag, acid-free, archival paper. Each one is printed with a white border. Sizes listed include the white border and are approximate.
Each print has a story that will accompany it.
